During my senior year in college I was an undergraduate teaching assistant in the introduction to biology labs. I helped answer students questions about the labs and helped them achieve a better understanding of the material. For the past year and a half since graduating I have been tutoring high school students in biology and chemistry. I try to asses the students areas of weakness and determine where I need to help them focus. I try to determine what the students learning style is and cater my tutoring to what would work best for them. I make sure I am fully prepared for all my lessons with extra materials.
